Cathy Lasam Ballo is an artist, educator and advocate. She is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Art Studies in the University of the Philippines. A Centenary Masters Scholar from University College London’s Institute of Education, she recently completed her masters in Art Education, Culture and Practice at the top Education institution in the world. Cathy was also a fellow of Australia Art Council’s International Art Leaders program, representing the Philippines as a socially engaged artist and educator. A multi-awarded cum laude graduate of the University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts; Cathy has exhibited and received awards for her paper sculptures and paperworks from various local and national art competitions. In 2024, she was national winner of the British Council’s UK Alumni Award for Culture & Creativity.
